New version of Ancient Kingdoms Wars (v.1.1.1)

New version of java application (required jre v1.8 or recent) about historical simulation of conflicts between powers and empires of the early Iron Age in the Central Mediterranean and Near East.

This is the version 1.1.1.

It has now Leaders and Tactics, that can affect result battles. If you gain a battle you can get another tactic to your power, and use then.

Tactical matrix modifier:

These modifiers apply to units strength calculation and can cause more casualties in the battle.

For instance, if attacker chooses “flank” against defender “refuse”, attacker strength is divided by 2 (i.e., multilplying by 1/2). If attacker chooses “stand” against defender “charge”, attacker strength is multilplied by 2).

A result of “-1” means “no fight” (i.e., if attacker chooses “refuse” vs. defender “stand”).

We have reached  the end of 2012 without a playable sim.

There are most of thing in the air (many rule implemetations).

Perhaps at the end of first quarter of 2013 there will be any playable and stable version.

At this moment, there is another screenshot with units.

New jLidia update (v.103)

Hi, again.
Well, here is a new update (while file is changed to version 103, it is kept the compatibility with saved data of version 102).
This last version correct the number turn when loading a saved data.
And, if you see the map_en.xml file, it is changed the entries of hexes (about 1.500 entries) by one binary chunk (to improve loading data with less parsing).

The new file to download is here.

That’s all for today, regards.
